Hello there! It’s Megan from Homemade Ginger again and I’m excited to share this amazingly easy summer craft. These pool noodle candles are perfect for your next evening outdoor get together!
Summer is my absolute most favorite time of year. Our days are so full with swimming lessons, trips to the park, VBS, birthday parties and lots of other fun activities. However, it does not leave much time for crafting. I seem to have lots of craft and DIY inspiration in the fall, but summer is a different story! These pool noodle candles are the perfect summer craft because they take just a few minutes to make. Much like my DIY glass coasters from last summer, you only need a handful of supplies. They are also super cheap which is always a bonus!
These pool noodle candles would be so perfect for a summer birthday or pool party. I was inspired by these candles but wanted to experiment with making them all different heights. The short ones can float in the water and the tall ones would make a cute centerpiece. You could even fill clear jars or bowls with water and add these floating candles for some summertime outdoor decor!
Pool Noodle Candles
The full instructions are at the bottom of this post, but here is what you will need:
- Pool Noodle
- Serrated Knife
- Flameless Candles
- Plastic Wrap
Begin by slicing the pool noodle to your desired height.
If you are planning on putting your candle in water, wrap the bottom of the flameless candle in plastic wrap. Then, insert it into the noodle.
You will have to stretch the noodle around the candle to make it fit, but don’t worry, it will work!
Make them all different sizes for some fun decor!
