Pom Pom Pinecones

Hi again! It’s Megan from Homemade Ginger again and I’m excited to share a fun fall craft that’s super easy for little ones to make! Even toddlers can make these pinecones, from finding them in the yard, to adding dots of glue and sticking on the pom poms – they are so easy and fun!

It’s hard to believe that fall is quickly approaching. We’ve had a few cool days already and even though I love summer, the thought of crisper days and changing leaves gets me excited. Even though the changing seasons can be exciting, I’m definitely not much of a seasonal decorator. Is anyone else out there with  me? I would rather spend my money on something that I can have in my home all the time instead of something that can only be out for a few weeks. However, I am all about super easy and frugal seasonal crafts that the kids can make and still look cute in my home! These little pom pom pinecones are the perfect fall craft that you will actually want to display in a bowl or a glass hurricane on your table.

Kids of all ages will love these pom pom pinecones and you can definitely mix up the colors. Use traditional fall colors, bright rainbow colors or even just one color depending on the look you want. You could even make some for Christmas as well!

I was inspired by these pinecones but I wanted to try some with painted pinecones and with more of a fall theme. These guys would also be adorable hanging from a twine garland and strung across the mantel!

I thought it would be fun to try this project with painted pinecones. You can buy them already painted or grab some white or gold paint and do it yourself first! After the paint is dry (or you can just use a plain pinecone), add some dots of white glue.

Both the white and the gold versions are so cute.
