Hello! It’s Megan from Homemade Ginger again and I’m back to share an easy and beautiful craft that even the kids can do! This glitter sea shell picture frame is impossible to mess up and is perfect for adding a touch of summer decor to any room.
I live in Kansas which means we are about as far away from the ocean that it gets. Kansas summers are incredibly hot and humid but with no ocean in sight to make the hot weather bearable. Even though it might not look very tropical out my window, I still love to incorporate a bit of coastal decor into my home during the summer. I’m always looking for easy ways to sneak it in without being dramatic or too themed.
This glitter sea shell picture frame is super easy to make and very affordable. Even if you don’t have an ocean nearby, you can pick up a bag of shells at the craft or dollar store. If you do have a beach or shells from a trip, this is a creative way to display them. Kids of all ages can help with this frame and it’s perfect for putting those shells they’ve collected to good use. This little frame would be perfect sitting in a bathroom or on a bookshelf.
I made my frame using the $1 wooden frames that you can find at most craft stores. They are so versatile! I made some watercolor frames that we will love, but this is another way to jazz up these inexpensive frames.
I was inspired by this glittery sea shell frame, but tweaked it to make it a little more monochromatic.
