Hi friends! It’s Megan from Homemade Ginger and I’m back with another pumpkin craft!
Pumpkin season is officially here whether we like it or not. I like pumpkin treats but I’m probably not as obsessed with them as some people In fact, don’t tell anyone but I’m not a fan of pumpkin spice lattes! However, once I have come to terms with the fact that summer is over (my favorite season) and fall is here, I do excited once all of the pumpkin things start to come out. In fact, even though it’s 90 degrees out today, I still whipped up a batch of pumpkin muffins for an after school snack.
Pumpkin crafts are some of my favorites to do with kids. There are so many variations and possibilities. The 3D paper crafts that I have shared before, such as the 3D paper flowers and 3D hot air balloons were so fun to make that I wanted to try a 3D pumpkin for fall! I love that these only require a few materials and can be made into a card or kept as an easy addition to your fall decor! These will be perfect to have around all season long.
You can make these 3D pumpkins any size, shape or color that you want. I went with the traditional orange, but you could make some in different fall shades or get creative with some crazy colors too!
3D Paper Pumpkins
Here is what you will need:
- Construction Paper
- Brown Pipe Cleaners
- Green Pipe Cleaners
- Glue Stick
- Glue Gun
First, you will want to cut between 6-8 pumpkin shapes per 3D pumpkin. The easiest way to do this is to fold your paper in half and cut out half of a pumpkin shape. You can even stack a few sheets of paper together to make it go faster.
Keep repeating this process until you have all of your shapes cut out.
Next, apply glue to one of the folded shapes. Place another folded piece on top of the glued side, matching up the shapes exactly.
Repeat this process until you have all of the shapes attached and the pumpkin resembles an accordion.
Use glue to attach the 3d pumpkin to a piece of construction paper.
Use a hot glue gun to attach a stem and a vine with pipe cleaners. To make the vine, wrap a pipe cleaner around a pencil.
You can make the pumpkins all different shapes and sizes!
These 3d pumpkins would make such a fun handmade card to give someone this fall!
For a simple paper craft for fall, make some easy 3D pumpkins. This fall kids craft can be turned into a handmade card or put out for some cute fall decor!
