Do you have neighbours who keep their grass in perfect shape? We do. We are mostly surrounded by retired people who have taken it upon themselves to make their front yards look like golf courses. It’s beautiful for the neighbourhood, but it makes it particularly more embarrassing that we are NOT that diligent with the grass (or weeds) on our property.

With three young kids, we are lucky if we have time to mow the lawn before the grass gets dangerously close to the kids’ knees. (Kids are short though, right?) Last summer, I’m pretty sure my husband mowed the lawn five times. Total. LOL It was a particularly dry summer, but still. Our poor neighbours!

To make it even worse, my kids LOVE dandelions. What kid doesn’t? And let me tell you, our little yard is full of them! So when the dandilions turn into fuzzy puff balls, I hear an evil laugh inside my head when the kids pick every last fluffy ball in the yard and blow them into the air. It makes me feel like we’re restoring the balance in the neighbourhood. haha
