Who doesn’t LOVE Christmas lights, right? Hanging them on the house might not be my favourite thing to do (or my husband’s for that matter…), but I sure love coming home when it’s dark outside and seeing our house all lit up in bright lights! Every evening, I stand outside my car for a few moments and admire them before I go into the house. It’s just so festive, it makes me smile!

The first night we put them up this year, I was so excited that I made my husband come outside with me in the frigid cold, right before we went to bed, and stand in the neighbour’s yard across the street to look at them. So we were out there in our flannel pajama pants, our heavy winter jackets, tall boots and scarves, standing on the neighbour’s yard, just staring at our house for 5 minutes. Do you do that too?? I sure hope our neighbours didn’t see! Ha!

Some people are so creative! All of these are SO BEAUTIFUL, I just wish there were more hours in a day to try them all!

Christmas lights are always going in and out of style. Multicoloured, all red, all white, incandescent, LED and gosh, remember those novelty round ball ones? I’ve had all of them at one point or another. And since I tend to lean towards the pack rat way of life a little more than I’d like to admit, I’ve saved almost all of the leftover lights. It’s not like there’s anything wrong with them, so it seemed like the right thing to do? And with awesome projects like these, I’m so glad I’ve got a few strings around!
