Cup Shark Craft

Hello, It’s Megan from Homemade Ginger and I’m sharing a super fun craft for all of those shark loving kids out there!

Raise your hand if you have a kid in the house who is obsessed with “Baby Shark”.  I’m over here waving my hand in the air because my little guy is just loving everything Baby Shark. Anytime I start to play music, he asks for Baby Shark and somehow we all end up singing along to it. I will have to admit, it is definitely a catchy tune.

My son is turning 3 in a few weeks and I thought that a Baby Shark themed birthday party would be just perfect! I’m still not sure if we will do a big birthday party for him, but if we did, sharks would definitely be the theme! There are so many cute shark crafts and games out there. I wanted to come up with an easy shark craft that kids of all ages could not only make, but have fun playing with afterwards. My kids loved playing with these little sharks after we made them and I just love how they turned out!

I was inspired by this whale craft but I wanted to try making a larger shark version instead.

Cup Shark Craft

Here is what you will need:

• Small Plastic Cup


• Blue, Black and White Construction Paper


• Googly Eyes


• Glue


• Paint

First, you will need to paint your plastic cups blue. I used mini sized cups, but you could pretty much use any size you want!

Cut out 2 fins for the top of the shark and 2 fins for the sides. Also, cut out shark tail shape.

Using the black and white paper, make a mouth and teeth.

Glue the mouth and eyes to the front of the cup.

Attach the fins with glue.

Attach the shark tail as well.

Add any other details that you want. We decided to make one shark have eyelashes!

And you are done! Make a bunch to have a cute little shark family.
